Professional Standards & Brand Representation

Purpose

To establish clear expectations for professionalism, communication, and brand representation so that all Prep Network representatives interact with participants, partners, and staff in a consistent and respectful manner.


Guiding Principles

  1. Every interaction reflects the Prep Network brand
  2. Directors and ROMs represent the organization on and off the field
  3. Professionalism must be maintained in person, written communication, and digital channels
  4. Issues should be handled calmly, respectfully, and in alignment with established protocols

Step 1: Communication Standards

1.1 Communication Expectations for ROMs

ROMs are expected to:

  1. Communicate clearly and professionally with directors, partners, and staff
  2. Set expectations early and reinforce standards consistently
  3. Respond to questions or concerns within a reasonable timeframe
  4. Address issues directly and constructively
  5. Model the communication standards expected of directors

1.2 Communication Expectations for Directors

Directors are expected to represent Prep Network professionally when interacting with:

  1. Parents and spectators
  2. Players and coaches
  3. Officials and assigners
  4. Facility staff
  5. Event partners and vendors
  6. Other Prep Network staff

Directors should:

  1. Communicate calmly and respectfully
  2. Avoid confrontational or argumentative behavior
  3. Enforce event rules clearly and consistently
  4. Escalate issues appropriately when necessary

1.3 Written & Digital Communication Standards

Professional communication standards apply to:

  1. Email
  2. Text messages
  3. Slack communication

All communications should be:

  1. Professional and respectful
  2. Clear and factual
  3. Free from emotional or confrontational language

Directors should avoid discussing internal issues publicly or engaging in arguments with participants online.
