Professional Standards & Brand Representation
Purpose
To establish clear expectations for professionalism, communication, and brand representation so that all Prep Network representatives interact with participants, partners, and staff in a consistent and respectful manner.
Guiding Principles
- Every interaction reflects the Prep Network brand
- Directors and ROMs represent the organization on and off the field
- Professionalism must be maintained in person, written communication, and digital channels
- Issues should be handled calmly, respectfully, and in alignment with established protocols
Step 1: Communication Standards
1.1 Communication Expectations for ROMs
ROMs are expected to:
- Communicate clearly and professionally with directors, partners, and staff
- Set expectations early and reinforce standards consistently
- Respond to questions or concerns within a reasonable timeframe
- Address issues directly and constructively
- Model the communication standards expected of directors
1.2 Communication Expectations for Directors
Directors are expected to represent Prep Network professionally when interacting with:
- Parents and spectators
- Players and coaches
- Officials and assigners
- Facility staff
- Event partners and vendors
- Other Prep Network staff
Directors should:
- Communicate calmly and respectfully
- Avoid confrontational or argumentative behavior
- Enforce event rules clearly and consistently
- Escalate issues appropriately when necessary
1.3 Written & Digital Communication Standards
Professional communication standards apply to:
- Text messages
- Slack communication
All communications should be:
- Professional and respectful
- Clear and factual
- Free from emotional or confrontational language
Directors should avoid discussing internal issues publicly or engaging in arguments with participants online.
